Recorded in Southern Alberta in the spring of 2011, Little Child is Indio Saravanja’s fourth full album, and marks a return to the full band sound that catapulted his first record onto the Canadian music scene.
With Indio once again in the production chair, Little Child was lovingly and generously recorded, mixed, and overseen by his friend Leeroy Stagger at his very own Rebeltone Studios, with Leeroy and Evan Uschenko manning the controls. Contributing musicians include Evan Uschenko (Bass and Lap Steel) Kyle Harmon (Drums), Tyson Maiko (Bass), Daniel Lapp (Fiddle), Jay Burr (Horns), Matthew Robinson (Vox) and Indio on everything else.
Little Child unites an exuberant roots rock prairie sound with Indio’s Argentine heritage, debuting the haunting beauty of the Andean Charango. Here there are songs of love and fear, jubilant optimism in the face of a dark night in the soul of winter, celebrating first time fatherhood, and looking for the child within.
